hCG Levels by Week Calculator
Check a beta-hCG result against the typical range for your week of pregnancy (from LMP or days past ovulation) and see where in the range it falls.
How it works
Look up the week since LMP in the reference table; DPO + 14 days = days since LMP
hCG ranges are extremely wide — at five weeks a normal pregnancy can be anywhere from 18 to over 7,000 mIU/mL — because implantation timing varies by days and hCG doubles every two to three days early on. That is why clinicians care about the rise between two tests 48 hours apart far more than any single number. Levels peak around 9–12 weeks and then decline to a plateau for the rest of pregnancy.
Worked example
1,500 mIU/mL at 5 weeks 2 days sits comfortably inside the 18–7,340 range; if it is around 3,000 two days later the rise is reassuring.
Frequently asked questions
My number is low for my week — what does it mean?
Often that ovulation was later than assumed. Your doctor will repeat the test in 48 hours; a rise of at least 50–60% is the usual reassuring sign.
Can hCG tell me if it is twins?
Not reliably — twin levels overlap heavily with singleton ranges. Only an ultrasound can.
