Subscription Audit Calculator
Total every recurring subscription into one monthly and yearly number so you can see the real cost of all those small charges.
How it works
Monthly total = sum of all subscriptions · Yearly = monthly × 12 · Daily = yearly ÷ 365
Subscriptions are designed to be small enough to ignore individually, but they stack. Seeing the combined monthly figure — and especially the annual one — reframes a handful of "cheap" services as a single meaningful line in your budget. Converting to a yearly number is the audit trick: a $45 streaming habit is really $540 a year, which invites a direct comparison against what you actually use.
Worked example
Video $45, music $12, cloud $10, software $25, gym $40 and $20 of other subscriptions total $152 a month. That is $1,824 a year — about $5 every single day — a figure large enough to justify canceling anything you rarely touch.
Frequently asked questions
Why look at the yearly number?
A monthly charge feels trivial, but multiplied by twelve it becomes a real sum. The annual view is what makes it obvious which subscriptions are worth keeping and which to cut.
How do I find subscriptions I forgot?
Scan a full year of bank and card statements for recurring charges, and check your app store subscription list. Free trials that quietly converted to paid are the usual culprits.
What is a good rule for cutting them?
If you have not used a service in the last month and would not miss it, cancel it. Many can be re-subscribed instantly if you find you actually need it back.
