How it works

sub revenue = Σ subs × price × (1 − mobile share × app-store fee) × your split (50/60/70%) + gifted subs × Tier 1 price × split + Prime subs × flat Prime payout · Plus Points = Tier 1 + 2 × Tier 2 + 6 × Tier 3 (100 → 60/40, 300 → 70/30) · Bits = count × $0.01 · ads ≈ viewers × hours × ad minutes × 2 × share seeing ads × earnings per 1,000 impressions

Twitch pays streamers a share of each subscription after sales tax and app-store fees. The standard split is 50/50. Under the Plus Program, Affiliates and Partners with 100 Plus Points held for three consecutive months move to 60/40, and those with 300 points move to 70/30; the level then stays locked for 12 months. A Tier 1 sub earns 1 point, Tier 2 earns 2 and Tier 3 earns 6. Gifted subs pay like a Tier 1 sub, and Prime subs pay a flat amount that depends on the viewer’s country — about $2.25 in the US and Canada — without counting toward Plus Points. Each Bit is worth one cent to you. Ad revenue depends on viewers, ad minutes and region, so either type in your dashboard figure or let the calculator estimate it. All prices and rates are editable (US figures as of October 2026), and the tables show what each sub is worth at every split and how revenue grows with more subs.

Worked example

120 Tier 1, 10 Tier 2 and 2 Tier 3 subs at US prices ($5.99, $9.99, $24.99) with 15% bought through app stores give $829.59 after store fees; at a 50% split that is $414.79. Add 40 Prime subs at $2.25 ($90), 5,000 Bits ($50) and $60 of ads and the channel makes about $614.79 a month, or $7,377.54 a year. The subs are worth 152 Plus Points, enough for Plus Level 1 — at 60/40 the same month pays about $697.75.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Twitch Plus Program split work in 2026?

Plus Points are your recurring paid subs weighted by tier: 1 for Tier 1, 2 for Tier 2 and 6 for Tier 3. Hold 100 points for three consecutive months and your sub split becomes 60/40; hold 300 and it becomes 70/30. Once reached, the level is locked for 12 months. Choose “From my Plus Points” to let the calculator apply the split your points earn.

How much does a Prime sub pay?

Prime subs pay a flat amount set by the viewer’s country rather than half the Tier 1 price — about $2.25 for US and Canadian viewers. The Plus split does not change it, and Prime subs do not earn Plus Points. Edit the Prime payout under More options to match your dashboard.

Are gifted subs worth the same as normal subs?

A gifted Tier 1 sub pays you the same share as a Tier 1 sub bought on the web. Twitch’s Plus Points count recurring paid subs, so gifts are left out of the point total unless you switch them on.

How much is a Bit worth?

One cent to the streamer. Viewers pay a bit more — about $1.40 for 100 Bits — and the difference is Twitch’s share.

Why do mobile subs pay less?

Apple and Google take 15–30% of in-app purchases before Twitch splits what is left. Twitch raised mobile prices to offset this, so if your dashboard shows mobile subs paying the same as web subs, set the app-store commission to 0.
