How it works
Total = drinks × amount per drink; bottles = total spirit oz ÷ 25.36
Batching multiplies each single-drink measure by the number of drinks. A standard 750 ml bottle holds about 25.4 fluid ounces, so dividing total spirit by that tells you how many to buy.
Worked example
20 drinks with 2 oz spirit each need 40 oz — about 1.6 bottles.
Frequently asked questions
Should I batch with ice?
Batch without ice and add water (about 20–25% of volume) to mimic dilution, then chill. Ice in the batch waters it down unevenly.
How many drinks per guest?
A common rule is about 2 in the first hour, then 1 per hour after.
