Coffee Cups in a Lifetime Calculator
How many cups of coffee you have drunk since you started, the litres and caffeine that adds up to, and your projected lifetime total.
How it works
Cups = cups per day × 365.25 × years drinking; caffeine ≈ 95 mg per 240 ml cup
Two cups a day for sixteen years is nearly 12,000 cups — around 2,800 litres, or eighteen bathtubs. The caffeine total sounds alarming in kilograms but is spread thinly: a healthy adult clears a 95 mg dose in about five hours. Bean weight assumes 10 g per cup; espresso uses 18 g for a much smaller drink.
Worked example
Two 240 ml cups a day from age 18 to 34: 11,688 cups, 2,805 litres, 1.1 kg of caffeine.
