Game Day Snack Spread Calculator
Plan a game day snack spread that lasts all four quarters — wings, chips, dip, pizza and drinks scaled to your crowd.
How it works
Scale each item by guests × base-per-guest × hunger × (hours ÷ 3.5): wings 6 · chips 2 oz · dip ¼ cup · pizza 3 slices · drinks ~1/hr
Game day is grazing over hours, not a single sitting, so plan more than a normal meal and let people pick all afternoon. Sensible per-guest baselines are about 6 wings, 2 ounces of chips with a quarter-cup of dip, and 3 slices of pizza, plus a drink per hour. Everything scales with how hungry the crowd is and how long the game runs.
Worked example
For 15 guests over a 3.5-hour game at standard appetite: about 90 wings, 1.9 lb of chips, 3.75 cups of dip, and 45 slices — roughly 6 large pizzas — with around 53 drinks.
Frequently asked questions
How many wings per person for game day?
About 6 wings per guest when there are other snacks, or 8–10 if wings are the main event. Order a mix of flavors and always make a few extra.
How much food for a Super Bowl party?
Plan for grazing across the whole game — roughly double a normal meal spread out over three to four hours. Combine finger foods (wings, chips, dip) with something more filling like pizza or sliders.
How many drinks per person?
About one drink per hour per guest across the game, mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Have plenty of water and soda for designated drivers and non-drinkers.
