How it works

Separate total = svc1 + svc2 + svc3 · Saving = separate total − bundle · Annual = saving × 12

Bundles only save money on services you would otherwise pay for individually — the comparison is against the sum of the standalone prices, not the headline discount. Adding up the à-la-carte prices and subtracting the bundle price gives the true monthly saving, which the annual figure then magnifies. A bundle that includes a service you never watch can easily cost more than the two you actually use, so the discount percentage matters less than which titles you'd have paid for anyway.

Worked example

Three services at $10, $8 and $9 total $27 a month separately. A $20 bundle saves $7 a month — $84 a year — a 26% discount, but only if you'd have subscribed to all three on their own.

Frequently asked questions

What if the bundle includes a service I don't want?

Only count the standalone prices of services you would actually pay for. If the bundle's value comes from a channel you never open, drop it from the separate total and the bundle may no longer win.

How do ad-supported tiers change this?

Compare like for like — an ad-tier bundle against ad-tier standalone prices. Mixing an ad-supported bundle with ad-free standalone prices overstates the saving.

Should I rotate subscriptions instead?

Often yes. If you binge one service a month then cancel, your effective spend can beat any bundle. Use this to compare against a bundle you'd keep year-round.
