Website Ad Revenue Calculator (Page RPM and Pageviews)
Estimate how much a website or blog earns from display ads like AdSense: monthly, daily and 12-month revenue from pageviews and page RPM, with traffic growth, and the traffic needed for a target income.
How it works
Monthly revenue = monthly pageviews ÷ 1,000 × page RPM · Daily revenue = monthly × 12 ÷ 365 · Month n pageviews = pageviews × (1 + growth)^(n−1) · Pageviews needed = income goal ÷ page RPM × 1,000
Display-ad networks report page RPM — estimated earnings per 1,000 pageviews — which already combines how many ads show, how often they are clicked or viewed and what advertisers pay. Multiply your pageviews by RPM ÷ 1,000 to estimate income. RPM varies enormously: finance, insurance and software content from the US, UK or Canada can earn several times more than entertainment content or traffic from lower-income countries, and it rises in Q4 and dips in January. Use your own reported RPM whenever you have it.
Worked example
With 100,000 monthly pageviews and a page RPM of $12, the site earns 100,000 ÷ 1,000 × $12 = $1,200.00 this month, about $39.45 per day. Growing traffic 5% a month gives $2,052.41 in month 12 and $19,100.55 over the year. To earn $1,000 a month at that RPM you need about 83,333 pageviews.

Frequently asked questions
How much do websites earn per 1,000 views?
That figure is page RPM. Typical display-ad RPMs range from under $5 to $30 or more, depending on niche, audience country, ad layout and season. Your own network report is the best number to use.
How do I calculate website ad revenue?
Divide monthly pageviews by 1,000 and multiply by page RPM. 100,000 pageviews at a $12 RPM is $1,200 a month.
How many pageviews do I need to make $1,000 a month?
Divide 1,000 by your RPM and multiply by 1,000. At a $12 RPM that is about 83,333 pageviews a month; at a $5 RPM, 200,000.
What is the difference between page RPM and CPM?
CPM is what an advertiser pays per 1,000 ad impressions. Page RPM is what you, the publisher, earn per 1,000 pageviews after the network's share, combining all the ads on the page.
