Weekends Left Calculator
Count the weekends between today and any date or age — weekends left this year, until a deadline, and (sobering) until a given age.
How it works
count the Saturdays strictly after today up to and including the target date; lifetime weekends ≈ days ÷ 7
A weekend a week sounds like plenty until you count them: a 36-year-old expecting to reach 80 has about 2,300 left, and a year holds only 52. Counting weekends to a deadline is also a practical planning number — the number of free Saturdays before a house move or a wedding is the real capacity for the jobs you keep postponing.
Worked example
From 26 September 2026 there are 13 weekends left in the year; someone born in June 1990 has roughly 2,280 weekends until their 80th birthday and has used about 1,890.
Frequently asked questions
Does it count partial weekends?
It counts Saturdays, so a target date falling on a Sunday counts that weekend; a Saturday target counts too.
Why is “until age” approximate?
It divides days by seven rather than counting Saturdays, which is accurate to within one.
