Amazon Referral Fee Calculator
Amazon referral fee by category percentage with the per-item minimum, plus closing fees, FBA fulfilment cost and your net profit per unit.
How it works
Referral fee = max(minimum, price × category %); profit = price − referral − closing − FBA − cost
Amazon’s referral fee is a percentage of the total sale price including any shipping you charge, with a $0.30 minimum per item; most categories are 15%, electronics 8%, clothing 17%. Media categories add a $1.80 closing fee. Professional accounts pay $39.99 a month instead of $0.99 per item, and FBA sellers add fulfilment and storage fees on top.
Worked example
$34.99 in a 15% category: $5.25 referral + $5.40 FBA = $10.65 in fees; after a $9.50 cost you net $14.84 (42%).
