Board Game Score Tracker
Enter each player’s final score to find the winner, the winning margin and the average — a quick end-of-game tally for up to four players.
How it works
Winner = highest score · Margin = top score − second-highest score · Average = total points ÷ players
A final-score tally is simple arithmetic, but the margin and average say more than the raw numbers. A one-point margin flags a nail-biter worth a rematch, while the average shows whether it was a high-scoring game overall or a grind. Leave the Player 3 and Player 4 fields at zero if only two or three people played — this tool ignores empty seats but always counts the first two players (enter a genuine zero score as a small number if a player truly scored nothing).
Worked example
Three players finish on 82, 74 and 91. The top score is 91, so Player 3 wins; the second-highest is 82, a nine-point margin. Total points are 247 across three players, an average of 82.3.
Frequently asked questions
How do I track a two-player game?
Enter both scores in Player 1 and Player 2 and leave Player 3 and Player 4 at zero. Those empty seats are ignored, so the winner, margin and average all reflect just the two players.
What happens on a tie?
If two or more players share the top score the result shows a tie and names them, and the margin reads “Tied.” Use your game’s tiebreaker rule to settle it.
Can a player legitimately score zero?
Player 1 and Player 2 always count, so a real zero there is fine. In the Player 3 and Player 4 slots a zero is read as “no player” — enter 0.5 or use the winning-score logic manually if someone genuinely finished on nothing.
