Days Alive Calculator: How Many Days Have I Been Alive?
How many days have you been alive? Enter your birth date for your age in days, weeks, months, hours, minutes and seconds, the weekday you were born, and the dates of your 10,000-day, billion-second and other milestones.
How it works
days alive = end date − birth date in calendar days (+1 if both ends are counted) · weeks = days ÷ 7 · hours = days × 24 · minutes = days × 1,440 · seconds = days × 86,400 · milestone date = birth date + N days · 1 billion seconds = 11,574.07 days
The calculator counts every calendar day from your birth date to the end date (today unless you pick another date), using the real calendar, so every February 29 you have lived through is included. By default it counts elapsed days, the same way an age is counted: a baby born yesterday is 1 day old and on the day you are born you are 0 days old. Turn on the option to count both ends if you want the number of calendar dates from your birth date to the end date inclusive, which is one more. The same span is shown in weeks, whole calendar months, hours, minutes and seconds (whole days, since the birth time is not entered), plus your age in years, months and days. Months are counted from your birth date to the same date in later months, with month-end dates clamped, so January 31 to February 28 is one month. The milestone table gives the dates of popular day-count milestones such as 10,000 days (about 27 years 4 months) and 1 billion seconds (about 31 years 8 months), and how far away each one is.
Worked example
Someone born on February 12, 2005, counting to July 2, 2026, has lived 7,810 days: 21 years from February 12, 2005 to February 12, 2026 is 7,670 days (21 × 365 + 5 leap days), and February 12 to July 2, 2026 adds 140 days. That is 1,115 weeks and 5 days, or 21 years, 4 months, 20 days, 187,440 hours and 11,246,400 minutes. Their 8,000-day milestone falls on Friday, January 8, 2027, 190 days later, and their 10,000th day is Wednesday, June 30, 2032.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate how many days I have been alive?
Count the days from your birth date to today: 365 for each full year, plus one for every February 29 in between, plus the days since your last birthday. The calculator does this from the real calendar, so it is exact for any dates.
Does the count include today or my birth day?
By default it counts elapsed days, like an age: you are 0 days old on the day you are born and 1 day old the next day. Turn on “Count both the birth date and the end date” under More options to add 1 and count both calendar dates.
When is my 10,000th day?
Your 10,000th day falls 10,000 days after your birth date, when you are about 27 years and 4 months old. The milestone table shows its exact date along with 1,000, 5,000, 15,000, 20,000 and more.
When will I be a billion seconds old?
One billion seconds is 11,574 days, 1 hour, 46 minutes and 40 seconds, which is about 31 years and 8 months. The table shows the date for your birth date.
Are leap years handled?
Yes. The count is a true calendar-day difference, so every February 29 you have lived through is included automatically. If you were born on February 29, the next-birthday line uses February 28 in common years.
Why are hours and seconds round numbers?
They are whole days times 24, 1,440 or 86,400, counted from midnight to midnight. Your exact age in hours also depends on the time of day you were born and your time zone.
