How it works

result = start date ± N calendar days

Every calendar day counts — weekends, holidays and leap days included — so the result is a pure calendar shift. That makes it right for deadlines phrased in days (“within 30 days”), returns windows and medication schedules. If your deadline is in business days instead, weekends must be skipped — use the business days calculator for that.

Worked example

30 days after September 11, 2026: 19 days finish out September and 11 more run into October, landing on Sunday, October 11, 2026 — 4 weeks, 2 days later.

Frequently asked questions

Is 30 days the same as one month?

Rarely. Adding 30 days to January 31 gives March 2 (or March 1 in a leap year), while “one month later” usually means the last day of February. Contracts phrased in days should be counted in days, exactly as this calculator does.

Are weekends and holidays counted?

Yes — this is a plain calendar count. For deadlines in working days, the business days calculator skips Saturdays and Sundays.

What happens when the count crosses February 29?

Leap days are ordinary days in the count: 100 days after January 25, 2028 passes through February 29 and still advances exactly 100 days.
