Exam Readiness Score Calculator
Combine syllabus coverage, practice-test average, study progress and confidence into a 0–100 exam readiness score.
How it works
Readiness = 0.35 × syllabus% + 0.35 × practice% + 0.15 × hours% + 0.15 × (confidence ÷ 10 × 100)
Exam readiness is more than a gut feeling, so this weights the four signals that predict performance. Practice-test scores and syllabus coverage carry the most weight (35% each) because they measure what you can actually do and how much ground you have covered; study-hour progress and self-rated confidence get 15% each as supporting evidence. The blend guards against the two classic traps — feeling confident without proof, and grinding hours without testing yourself.
Worked example
With 70% coverage, a 65% practice average, 60% of planned hours done and confidence 6/10: 0.35×70 + 0.35×65 + 0.15×60 + 0.15×60 = 24.5 + 22.75 + 9 + 9 = 65 out of 100 — on the edge of "on track."
Frequently asked questions
Why do practice tests weigh the most?
Along with syllabus coverage, timed practice under real conditions is the best available predictor of exam performance. Confidence and hours logged matter, but they are supporting signals rather than direct evidence you can perform.
What readiness score means I am ready?
Roughly 85+ signals you are very ready, 70–84 means on track, 55–69 is getting there, and below 55 means the fundamentals still need work. Use it as a relative gauge over time rather than a guarantee.
