NEET Score Calculator
Estimate your NEET UG score from correct and incorrect answers (+4 / −1 marking) across Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with accuracy and an approximate percentile band.
How it works
Score = 4 × correct − 1 × wrong, per subject; unattempted = 0; maximum 720
NEET UG awards +4 for each correct answer and −1 for each wrong one, with no penalty for leaving a question blank. Since 2024 the paper is back to 180 compulsory questions: 45 Physics, 45 Chemistry and 90 Biology. Negative marking means accuracy matters more than attempts — four wrong answers wipe out one correct one. Percentile bands shift each year with paper difficulty.
Worked example
146 correct, 24 wrong: 584 − 24 = 560 — roughly the 97th percentile in a typical year.
Frequently asked questions
What score is needed for a government MBBS seat?
General-category cut-offs for government colleges have ranged roughly 600–650+ in recent years; state quotas and reserved categories are lower.
Is the qualifying percentile the same as an admission rank?
No — the 50th percentile only qualifies you for counselling; seats depend on your all-India rank.
