Office Coffee Supply Calculator
Estimate how much coffee an office goes through: cups per day, grams brewed and how many bags to buy each week and month.
How it works
Cups/day = people × cups per person · Coffee/day (g) = cups × grams per cup · Bags = weekly grams ÷ bag size
Office coffee planning is just multiplication done consistently. Multiply headcount by cups per person to get daily cups, then by grams per cup to get daily coffee weight — about 10 g brews a standard 6 oz cup at a typical ratio. Scale to a week using your work days, and to a month using 4.345 weeks. Dividing weekly grams by your bag size tells you how many bags to keep stocked.
Worked example
25 people at 2.5 cups a day is about 63 cups. At 10 g each that is 630 g a day, 3.15 kg across a 5-day week — roughly 9 to 10 bags of 340 g each per month.
Frequently asked questions
How much coffee does one person drink at work?
A common planning figure is two to three cups per person per work day. Heavy-coffee cultures run higher; offices with lots of tea drinkers run lower. Adjust the cups-per-person input to match your team.
How many grams of coffee per cup?
About 10 grams per 6 oz cup is a reasonable average at a normal brew strength. Stronger brewing or larger mugs push it higher, so tune the per-cup input if your office likes it strong.
Why multiply the month by 4.345 weeks?
A month averages about 4.345 weeks (365 ÷ 12 ÷ 7), not exactly four. Using 4.345 avoids under-ordering by roughly a week of coffee over the course of a year.
