How it works

Fees = price×transaction% + price×processing% · Net payout = price − fees · Profit = payout − your cost − shipping to StockX

StockX charges sellers two percentage fees on each sale: a transaction fee that depends on your seller level (typically 9% for new sellers, falling toward 7% as you complete more sales) and a payment-processing fee (about 3%). Both are percentages of the sale price with no fixed component, so the effective rate stays roughly constant across price points. Your net payout is the price minus those fees; profit then subtracts what you originally paid for the item and the cost of shipping it to StockX for authentication. Adjust the transaction rate to your current seller level.

Worked example

Sell a $200 pair you paid $130 for, at the 9% seller level: transaction fee $18.00 and 3% processing $6.00, totaling $24.00 (12%). Net payout $176.00, and after your $130 cost you profit $46.00 — a 23% margin. Reach a 7% transaction level and fees drop to $20.00, lifting profit to $50.00.

Frequently asked questions

How much does StockX take from sellers?

A seller transaction fee based on your level — commonly 9% for new sellers and as low as about 7% for high-volume ones — plus a payment-processing fee of roughly 3%. Combined, that is about 10–12% of the sale price, with no per-order fixed fee.

How do I lower my StockX transaction fee?

StockX sets your transaction fee by seller level, which improves as you complete more successful sales. Set the transaction field to the rate shown in your seller dashboard; the processing fee stays the same regardless of level.

Are there other StockX seller costs?

You pay to ship the item to StockX for authentication, and payouts can incur a withdrawal or currency-conversion cost depending on your payout method and country. Enter your shipping cost here, and remember a slow shipment can trigger a late penalty that this tool does not include.
