Weekly to Annual Income Calculator
Convert a weekly paycheck into annual, monthly, biweekly and daily income — with the option to set how many weeks a year you actually get paid.
How it works
Annual = weekly × paid weeks · Monthly = annual ÷ 12 · Biweekly = weekly × 2 · Daily = weekly ÷ work days
Annualising weekly pay is just multiplication, but the number of paid weeks matters more than people expect. Salaried workers are usually paid all 52 weeks, so their weekly rate times 52 is their salary. Hourly, seasonal or gig workers who lose weeks to unpaid leave should lower the weeks figure — using 52 there overstates the yearly total. Monthly income is the annual figure divided by 12, which is slightly more than four weekly cheques because most months are longer than four weeks.
Worked example
At $1,000 a week for all 52 weeks, annual income is 1,000 × 52 = $52,000. That is 52,000 ÷ 12 = $4,333.33 a month, or $2,000 every two weeks. Spread over a 5-day week, each working day is worth $200.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my monthly income more than four weekly paycheques?
A year has about 4.33 weeks per month, not four. Multiplying weekly pay by 52 and dividing by 12 captures those extra fractional weeks, so the monthly figure is a little higher than four weeks of pay.
Should I use 52 or fewer weeks?
Use 52 if you are paid a steady salary year-round. If you take unpaid weeks off, work a seasonal job, or freelance with gaps, lower the paid-weeks number so the annual estimate reflects weeks you actually earn.
Is this gross or net income?
It converts whatever figure you enter. Put in your gross weekly pay for gross annual income, or your take-home pay for net annual income — the maths is the same either way.
