Attendance Calculator: Classes Needed for 75%
How many more classes you must attend — or how many you can skip — to keep attendance at 75% (or any required percentage).
How it works
Must attend = ⌈required % × (held + remaining)⌉ − attended; can skip = remaining − must attend
Attendance percentage is attended divided by held, and the classes still to come are the only lever you have. Solving for the minimum total attended at the end of term tells you exactly how many you must be present for, and therefore how many you may miss. Universities often apply the rule per subject, so run it separately for each course with a strict teacher.
Worked example
42 of 60 attended (70%) with 30 to go: 75% of 90 is 68, so attend 26 of the last 30 — you can skip 4. Twelve straight classes would lift you back over 75%.
