Influencer Post Rate Calculator
Estimate a fair sponsored-post rate from your follower count and engagement — a benchmark range for negotiating brand deals.
How it works
Base = (followers ÷ 1,000) × base rate · Multiplier = clamp(engagement ÷ 3%, 0.5×, 3×) · Suggested rate = base × multiplier
The industry rule of thumb is roughly $10 per 1,000 followers for one sponsored post, but that base is only a starting point — engagement is what brands truly pay for. An account with 3% engagement sits at the benchmark; double that and your rate can climb meaningfully, while a large but inactive following gets discounted. Treat the output as a negotiating range, not a fixed price: content type (Reels vs. static), usage rights, exclusivity and niche all move the final number.
Worked example
An account has 50,000 followers and a 6% engagement rate. Base rate is 50,000 ÷ 1,000 × $10 = $500. Engagement of 6% is double the 3% benchmark, giving a 2.0× multiplier, so the suggested rate is $1,000 — with a negotiating range of roughly $750 to $1,500.
Frequently asked questions
Is $10 per 1,000 followers a real standard?
It is a widely cited baseline for a single sponsored post, but actual rates range from a few dollars to $25+ per 1,000 followers depending on platform, niche and engagement. Use it as an anchor, then adjust.
Why does engagement change the price so much?
Brands buy attention, not vanity metrics. A smaller account whose audience actually likes, comments and buys is more valuable than a large, passive following — so high engagement can multiply your rate while low engagement discounts it.
What else should I factor into a quote?
Usage rights (can the brand run your content as a paid ad?), exclusivity, the number of deliverables, content format, and turnaround time. Each of these justifiably raises the rate above the follower-count baseline.
