TikTok Creator Fund Calculator
Estimate TikTok Creator Fund / Creativity Program payouts from your monthly views — and see why views alone earn so little.
How it works
Payout = (views ÷ 1,000) × per-1,000 rate · Per-million = rate × 1,000
TikTok’s original Creator Fund pays a notoriously low rate — commonly $0.02–$0.04 per 1,000 views, so even a viral million-view video earns only $20–$40. The newer Creativity Program Beta pays far more (often $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000) but only for original videos over one minute that meet eligibility rules. Because raw fund payouts are so thin, most successful TikTok creators treat views as a top-of-funnel for brand deals, LIVE gifts and off-platform sales rather than as direct income.
Worked example
A creator gets 1,000,000 monthly views on the standard Creator Fund at $0.03 per 1,000 views: 1,000,000 ÷ 1,000 × $0.03 = $30 per month, about $360 a year. Switching to the Creativity Program at $0.50 per 1,000 would turn the same million views into roughly $500.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the TikTok Creator Fund payout so low?
The original fund is a fixed pool split across all eligible creators, which drives the effective rate down to roughly $0.02–$0.04 per 1,000 views. It was widely criticized, which is why TikTok launched the higher-paying Creativity Program.
How is the Creativity Program different?
It pays substantially more per view — often $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 — but only rewards original, high-quality videos longer than one minute, and has stricter eligibility. Set the per-1,000 rate accordingly to model it.
Is fund income the main way TikTokers earn?
Rarely. For most creators, brand partnerships, LIVE gifts, affiliate sales and driving traffic to their own products dwarf fund payouts. The fund is a small supplement, not a salary.
