How it works
next renewal = sign-up date + (cycles completed + 1) × cycle length · cycle length in months by plan
A subscription renews on the same calendar day it began, one billing cycle at a time. The calculator adds whole cycles to the sign-up date until it passes your as-of date, which gives both the last renewal and the next one, and counts how many cycles you have paid for. Month-length differences are handled by clamping — a sign-up on the 31st renews on the last day of shorter months — so the anniversary stays anchored to the original day wherever possible.
Worked example
An annual plan started March 10, 2024, viewed on September 16, 2026, has completed two yearly cycles (2025 and 2026). The next renewal is March 10, 2027.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I signed up on the 31st?
The renewal clamps to the last day of any shorter month — a January 31 monthly sign-up renews February 28 (or 29), then March 31 again. Annual plans keep the exact date unless it is February 29, which clamps to the 28th in common years.
Is the anniversary the same as the renewal date?
For a fixed-cycle plan, yes — each renewal falls on the anniversary of your sign-up within that cycle. This tool shows the next such date and how many days away it is.
Does it know about free trials or price changes?
No. It tracks the billing anniversary only. If your first charge was delayed by a trial, use the first paid date as the sign-up date for accurate renewals.
